Transit and approach

The most convenient public transit option is the MTA Subway 7 train, which stops directly at the Mets-Willets Point station, a short walk from the stadium. The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Port Washington Branch also serves the Mets-Willets Point station. Several MTA bus routes, including Q48, Q66, and Q72, stop near Citi Field.

Rideshare and parking

Rideshare: The official postgame rideshare pick-up location is situated just beyond the intersection of Shea Road and Boat Basin Place, northwest of the stadium. Pregame drop-offs can be made along Seaver Way or Roosevelt Avenue.

Parking: Citi Field's parking lots are cashless, accepting credit/debit cards, Mets Gift Cards, and mobile payments. Car parking costs $40 and bus/oversized vehicles cost $80 for regular season Mets games. Accessible parking spaces are available in Lots B and F, as well as the Southfield Lot. Guests wishing to pay with cash can use reverse ATM machines located outside the ballpark to obtain a cash card.

  • Atmosphere area: Citi Field is located in Flushing, Queens, adjacent to the Willets Point neighborhood and within the broader area of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
  • Tailgating: Tailgating is prohibited in Lots A, B, and G (Official Lot). In other parking lots, tailgating is permitted only in front or behind a parked vehicle within its parking space boundary, not in empty parking spaces. No open flames are allowed, and alcohol consumption is prohibited in the parking lots. Guests are asked to bag their trash for pickup.
  • Signature food: Popular food items at Citi Field include Shake Shack burgers and milkshakes, classic ballpark fare like hot dogs and nachos, pizza, deli sandwiches, Dole Whip (pineapple and strawberry), Naz's Halal Food, Chef Kwame's Patty Palace, From the Stretch, and Wok N' Roll.
  • Fan tradition: Local fan traditions include the Mr. Met Dash for kids to run the bases after Sunday games, appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Met, and taking photos with the original Shea Stadium Home Run Apple located outside the ballpark. Fans also sing 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' and 'Lazy Mary' during the seventh-inning stretch.
