Book Oct 9-12: arrive Friday, leave Monday
A 2:30 PM Saturday kickoff leaves no room for a travel morning. Get in Friday night, Oct 9, and wake up in Nashville with the whole day ahead of kickoff.
Sunday's game starts at noon. You could try to fly out that night. Don't. Keep the Sunday night and check out Monday, Oct 12.
That makes it three hotel nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It costs one more night than a Saturday arrival would. It also removes both of the weekend's timing risks.
Alabama weekend is a wait, not a book
Vanderbilt vs Alabama still has no kickoff time. Until it does, you can't count the hotel nights. A noon kickoff and a night kickoff call for different arrival plans, so there is no honest trip estimate for this weekend yet.
The ticket side is already moving against you. On Sept 30, the lowest Vandy-Alabama listing on the resale market was $265.65 per ticket. The quantity behind it is unknown. The program's typical price is about $85, so the resale floor sits at roughly three times that number.
Our planning price for that game has already been reset to $320 per ticket. That is not a seat you can count on. It is a sign of where this game is headed.

The Titans ticket is the budget anchor for October

The Titans seat is the decision. At $230 a head, it costs nearly three times the Vandy ticket. If the NFL side clears your ceiling, the Saturday game is cheap enough to make it a full weekend.
The ticket figures are representative prices, not live quotes. For a sense of the Sunday market, the lowest Titans-Texans listing was $46 per ticket on Sept 27. Treat that as a floor snapshot, not a seat you can buy.
The $273 hotel figure is a 10-hotel sample from a downtown-centered area, observed Sept 28. It is not an Oct 9-12 rate or a quote for any one neighborhood, so expect Titans-weekend prices to run higher if you wait.

Sunday at Nissan Stadium: arrange parking ahead, tailgate before kickoff
If you plan to drive to the Titans game, sort out parking before you leave home. On-site Titans parking sells out in advance, and there are no day-of sales on campus. From a downtown hotel you can skip the car.
Tailgating in stadium-controlled lots must stop at kickoff. Lots must be cleared of tailgates within 45 minutes after it starts. For a noon game, that means your tailgate is a morning event.
Gates typically open two hours before kickoff, so around 10 AM. Carry a clear bag no bigger than 12" x 12" x 6", or a small clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5". Nissan Stadium is cashless, so bring a card or phone wallet.
Once you're in, stay in. Re-entry is not allowed. Alcohol sales typically end after the third quarter.
