Key logistics

Bag policyFor safety and expedited entry into Canada Life Centre, bag sizes are restricted to 12”x 9”x 5” or smaller which will undergo contactless security screening. Exceptions are made for guests with medical and childcare/diaper bags and for media, which require X-ray screening at Gate 1 (Portage and Donald), Gate 3 (Graham and Hargrave), or Gate 6 Cityplace Skywalk. On-site bag check is not available.
Doors openDoors usually open 60 to 90 minutes before the scheduled start time of an event. For some Winnipeg Jets home openers, doors have opened an extra half hour earlier at 5:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. puck drop. For Watch Parties, gates open 1 hour before the advertised game starts. Guests are advised to check event-specific information for the most accurate times.
Cashless?All food and beverage transactions at Canada Life Centre are cashless to reduce touchpoints and expedite payment. Guests are encouraged to use contactless payment for merchandise transactions as well. Those without access to credit or debit cards can purchase pre-paid VISA cards at guest services within the arena.
Rideshare zoneDesignated rideshare pickup and drop-off zones are located near Donald Street and Graham Avenue, as well as on Eastbound Portage Avenue between Carlton Street and Hargrave Street.
Re-entryGuests attending any event at Canada Life Centre are generally not allowed to re-enter the arena after exiting. Re-entry exceptions, such as for emergencies, childcare, or medical reasons, are determined on a case-by-case basis by event staff and security.
TransitWinnipeg Transit provides service to Canada Life Centre with over 40 to 58 bus routes converging from all parts of Winnipeg, with several stops located within a one-minute walk of the venue along the Graham Avenue Transit Corridor.

Parking

Attendees can purchase parking in advance using ParkMobile or ParkWhiz, with over 1,700 stalls available through Platinum Parking and Impark, the preferred parking providers. Accessible parking is available at several nearby lots, with accessible pick-up and drop-off points located immediately east of the stadium in the west lane of Donald Street.

Family & accessibility

  • Strollers: Strollers are permitted in the venue and can be stored at the AM980 Guest Services Desk.
  • Family perks: At Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose games, children under two years of age may enter without a ticket but must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.

  • Signature food: Popular food items include the Jumbo Jet Dog (an eight-inch wiener with various toppings like bacon bits, chili, and pierogies), the YWG Burger (featuring burgers inspired by Winnipeg staples such as the Sal's Jets Nip, Fatboy burger, and 'The Social Burger'), poutine, and perogies and farmer sausage.
  • Local tradition: The 'Winnipeg Whiteout' is a cherished hockey tradition dating back to 1987, where fans wear white clothing to home playoff games to create an intimidating atmosphere. This tradition has expanded to include large outdoor street parties around Canada Life Centre during the playoffs.
