Raiders at Chargers, Plus Dodgers-Giants: A Los Angeles Football-and-Baseball Weekend (2026)

Two LA-area teams are home that weekend. The Dodgers host the Giants at Dodger Stadium, September 18 to 20, and the Angels host the Twins in Anaheim. The one to build a Raiders road trip around is the Dodgers-Giants series in LA, the same weekend as the Raiders-Chargers game at SoFi on Sunday, September 20. Taking the Dodgers keeps the trip in Los Angeles rather than sprawling out to Orange County. Even so it is spread out: SoFi in Inglewood and Dodger Stadium near downtown are a drive apart, so plan a metro trip with a car, not a walkable doubleheader.

The table leaves out one real option on purpose. The Angels are also home that weekend, hosting the Twins in Anaheim, September 17 to 20. That is genuine baseball, but Angel Stadium is in Orange County, a separate drive from both SoFi and Dodger Stadium, and adding it turns a focused LA weekend into a three-venue Southern California tour. So the Dodgers stay in, and the Angels are left for a different trip.

SoFi Stadium is in Inglewood and Dodger Stadium is near downtown Los Angeles, in different parts of a sprawling metro, not a walkable cluster. Plan an LA base with a car or rideshares, and budget for traffic between the two venues.

Both games are division rivalries: the Raiders and Chargers in the AFC West, the Dodgers and Giants in the NL West. So if you are already going to the Raiders-Chargers game, add the Dodgers. The cross-metro drive is the trade-off; two division-rivalry games in one Los Angeles weekend is the payoff.
